Four Ingredient Guac | Three Busy Bees

I love guacamole. Love. Seriously, I love it. Over the years I have used prepackaged cilantro, those weird guac packets, and even the store bought pre-made kind. Once I started growing our own veggies, everything changed.

Four Ingredient Guac

For my “famous” (at least in this house, because Marty will eat it right out of the bowl) guacamole, I only use FOUR – 4 ingredients. One ripened avocado, one lime, diced red onion, and fresh cilantro. If you want to put a little “stank” on it like Marty says, then cut up a jalapeno.

This fabulous avocado cutter is an OXO Grips Avocado Slicer.

It slices avocado’s so easily and quickly. I almost feel like I could be on a cooking show. Not really.

Before you cut the lime in half, roll it on the table. It will make squeezing the juice out easier.

I cut my red onions to be medium to small in size. I love onions, so it doesn’t bother me to have some larger chunks in my guac.

Cut your cilantro up as small as you can. It’s not always appealing to have big leaves stuck to your teeth. I use a spoon to mix it all together. Avocado, onions, cilantro, then lime juice. Mix. Enjoy.

The kids love my guacamole. Add some corn chips and it will be demolished in less than 7 minutes.

Please drop all the processed or prepackaged crap. These 4 ingredients are relatively cheap and can be bought at almost any grocery store. Eat healthy. Eat real food.

How do I store my ingredients?

The avocado and lime sit with other produce on my rolling cart.
The onion is stored in the crisper bin. When cut, I place it in a glass dish with lid or ziploc bag.
The cilantro holds up best when it is in a ziploc bag in the refrigerator. Don’t squeeze the air out.
